Started in 2015 with Christmas luncheon for 200 homeless and disadvantaged families. then progressed to Weekly free BBQ in the park. In 2017, a small group of volunteers set up a few tables in a Gold Coast park. No big budget. No press releases. Just a home-cooked meal, a warm welcome, and a belief that no one should feel invisible.
From that night forward, Walk With Us became more than a name—it became a way of being.
We started by feeding a handful of people doing it tough. Now, we serve over 50 full, three-course meals every Tuesday, rain or shine. But we’ve never stopped being who we were on day one: real people showing up with real love.
We believe that a meal served with dignity can be the first step back to hope.
Walk With Us creates safe, welcoming spaces for anyone in need to experience not just a meal, but care, conversation, and connection.
Our signature weekly event: a full three-course meal, table service, fresh clothing, hygiene packs, and access to support services—all in a welcoming, community-first environment.
When the pantry is bare, we deliver hampers full of nourishing essentials—no hoops to jump through, no shame attached.
Because hungry kids can’t learn, we work with local schools to discreetly supply food to students in need.
At our dinners, guests can also access free legal advice, mental health support, haircuts, medical help, clean clothes, showers, and more—thanks to our incredible partners and volunteers.
We’re proudly 100% volunteer-run. That means every dollar goes where it’s needed: food, essentials, and connection. And every role, from cooks to servers to storytellers, is filled by someone who simply wants to help.
Our values aren’t words on a poster. They’re how we show up, every week:
We meet people where they’re at, no judgment.
Every meal, conversation, and service is grounded in respect.
There’s no “us and others.” Just us.
Tuesday nights are sacred. We never miss a week.
We work with others, not against them.
We offer a hand up, not a handout.
This year, we are
Launching a youth mentorship and workshop program
Expanding our school meal partnerships
Recruiting new volunteers to grow with us
Seeking local businesses and donors to help keep us grassroots—but growing
If you need help, we’re here.
If you want to help, we’d love to hear from you.
If you believe in dignity, connection, and kindness—you’re in the right place.
